St George 2010

We just got back from our annual golf trip to St George this past weekend. This year everyone came except Molly. It was probably wise to leave her with Jessica's mom but we all missed her a lot! Once again we stayed in Kelsey and Brady's time share. Thanks guys! Here are just a few pictures of our rooms.

This is the kitchen/front room. There is a nice roomy deck with furniture and a hot tub just outside those sliding doors. If you look closely in the very back, you can see the blow up mattress pad that Kara and Phil brought to sleep on so we could all stay in the same unit. This unit had three nice bedrooms with TVs and three bathrooms.

The kitchen was very nice even though we only really used the fridge. We brought snacks and drinks and then ate out the rest of the time.

On Friday we traveled southwest of Mesquite to a brand new golf course that Phil had arranged for us to play on. It was about and hour and 45 minutes from St George but it was very nice and beautiful. When we pulled in, there was all kinds of people waiting to park our cars, unload our clubs and do anything else we wanted them to do. This course is in the middle of nowhere and they probably always know when someone is coming. The course name is "The Chase" and I believe it was designed by Jack Nicholas.

All of the carts have coolers with water and ice. They also have more coolers with ice and water sitting on some of the holes if you need more. After we loaded up our carts, we were directed to the driving range with range balls to warm up with. After that, we practiced on the putting green and then traveled to the first tee.

I took a few pictures of the landscaping. It was really beautiful. This course is only two years old and the grass was all green and lush. There were cart paths everywhere and a few tunnels that we drove through also. The kids really liked that part. Most courses won't allow young children, but this place was fine with it.

Jaxon and I rode in this cart. He got a little overheated and so Brynly was riding with us and making sure Jaxon drank plenty of water.

Since the course is so new, we had to use port a potties. I took some pictures because they were nicer than most bathrooms. No stink either.

The only down side of this course was that there was nowhere to get anything to eat. You are a good hour away from anywhere and the clubhouse didn't even have a snack bar. Other than that, it was very nice and fun.

Jaxon took this picture of Brynly posing out on the deck. You can see the pool behind her. The kids spent every chance they had in the pool. The weather was wonderful and we had a really good time.

Jax took this of Bryn and me in our PJ's

Last stop before leaving for home. IN and OUT for lunch! I look forward to next year.
