We made our annual trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming the end of July. Everyone was able to go except Kara and Phil opted to not take Bo. I for one really missed him!
We rented a condo through Snow King but when we arrived that afternoon, there were some problems with the condos and so they sent us to a house close to Teton Village. This was very last minute so when we finally found and arrived at the house, there was someone already there. We went to the front door and asked them about it and they said that they were staying there! We knew we were at the right place because our code got us into the garage like we were instructed. Well, we left the house and called the hotel and they took my phone number. To make a long story short, The people claiming to be staying in our house were the house keepers and I guess they thought they would just have a nice free weekend since no one was supposed to be in that house. We got things straightened out and finally got into the house. Here are some pictures of the house. It was nice and we all had our own beds and a bathroom for each family.
The next day we drove to Yellowstone. Jessica had never been there before as well as the grand kids. We stopped at this waterfall along the way.
Nice white legs don't you think?
Old Faithful was great! We timed our stop perfectly. It went off about ten minutes after we got there.
This is the only wildlife we saw the whole way up and back to Jackson.
That evening we went to the Alpine slide at Snow King. This is a tradition with us. Last year Jax and Kade got a little injured but this year, everyone was much safer.
Notice Bryns face in these next two pictures. She kept telling Suzette she wasn't going fast enough.
I'm sure you can tell that Grandpa wasn't happy to have his picture taken.
Suzette and Jordan made it up that second night to stay with us and float the river the next morning.
Kade got going and then caught up with this kid in front of him. He was going kind of slow.
I have a bunch of pictures a lot like this: Molly with Kara. Molly loves Kara!
On our last day, we all got up, packed and loaded the cars and then everyone but Phil, me and the kids, went down the river.
Phil and I took the kids on a little car ride while Baine slept. During our ride we saw this! You may not be able to tell but it's a bald eagle! We also went to a park for a while and then went into downtown Jackson to look around a little.
We had a good time. At least I did and I hope we can keep making this a tradition each year. It's a quick trip but we still have fun! Thanks to my kids for all going!
