Catching up on May

For some reason I'm struggling to post lately.  I'm not sure why.  I guess I just need some inspiration.  There is plenty going on in our lives but I just haven't had the desire to write it down.

May was another crazy month but every month seems that way.  We celebrated Kades birthday and then Mothers Day right after that.  I remember coming home from the hospital after giving birth to Kade.  I came home on Mothers Day but I was empty handed because he wasn't quite ready to come home.  I did get to bring him home a few days later.  He was a very healthy looking baby.  He had lots of black hair, dark skin (I think because his bilirubin was so high) and chubby.  He was also a very content baby as were all of my babies.  Yes I was very blessed and yes I knew it for more reasons than one.

May also brought graduations and along with that brought somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 couples moving out of our student ward.  This has made me sad but excited for them at the same time.  We wish them all the best and hope for success!  We have had a few new couples move in and they are great additions to the ward and I look forward to getting to know them.  Our student ward is going well.  We are having a great time.  I could use a few ideas for activities.  I feel like we are in a rut and with school out the kids have a little more time to get together.  Of course summer is nuts for us so that will make things interesting.

Our family was blessed in May...everyone seems fairly healthy, Phil was called as a councilor in the Bishopric in his ward, Phil also got a new job!

Now on to the summer.  First it needs to stop raining for a while.  We really need to get our crops planted.  We are now one month late!  This summer is going to be a nightmare at work and I am already dreading it.  We most likely will be shorthanded staff wise and it will make things stressful and hard.  I'm hoping that it won't be as bad as I think it will be.

  1. I know what you mean about struggling to post. I think it's the time of year. I always seem to struggling in Spring and early Summer.

Sounds like your summer will be busy. Good luck with everything. I have no activity ideas for you. Sorry.
